I have used these specific colors to symbolize the natural elements and landscapes found within my community when blanketed by the night. The blue represents the water, while the purple represents the rich and fertile soil. The use of bronze represents the natural metals and minerals.
I see this piece as a celebration of my culture and heritage. These colors and symbols hold special meaning to me and I have used them specifically in order to create a deeper connection between me and my ancestry.
