This painting is part of something much older than me. Aboriginal culture is the oldest living culture in the world, over 60,000 years strong and this is one of the ways we’ve kept it alive.
The dots and symbols in this piece hold ancient meaning. They speak of journeys, family, water and land. They’re not just symbols, they’re how we pass down knowledge, how we remember, how we teach.
This piece is a reflection of my desert & ocean bloodlines and the old ways that continue through art, story and connection to Country.
This is culture, still speaking.
