During the Piriyakutu season, we see an abundance of colours and flowers exploding all around us. The yellows of many of the Acacias continue to abound, along with some of the Banksias and many other smaller delicate flowering plants including the Kangaroo Paw and Orchids. Also during this time the Balgas will also start to flower, especially if they’ve been burnt in the past year or closely shaved.

One of the most striking displays of flowers to be seen during this season will be the Sturt’s Desert Rose. The bright pink flowers serve to signal the heat is on its way.

Materials

Canvas I only paint on the highest quality double primed 100% cotton fine art canvas.
Paints I use either Jonsonja or Mattisse matte flow acrylic paint for all of my artworks.
All artworks are acrylic on canvas sheets unless otherwise stated.
Items marked 'Acrylic on stretched canvas' do not require framing and are shipped ready to be hung.

Care Instructions

Do not expose paintings or prints to direct sunlight.
Display your art in a cool, dry place.
Gently clean your canvases with a soft, damp cloth.
Avoid using household chemical cleaners, as they can damage the artwork.
Wrap your prints in acid-free archival paper before storing or transporting them.
Never stack multiple paintings against each other.

Framing

Most of my artworks are on unstretched canvas sheets unless otherwise marked. We recommend having your artwork stretched and hung within a frame of your choice upon arrival to avoid damage in transit.
Items marked 'Acrylic on stretched canvas' do not require framing and are shipped ready to be hung.
