This commissioned artwork for Bernie is inspired by Fisheries Bay near Port Lincoln, a place of deep personal connection and return. Painted from a bird’s-eye view, the flowing blues represent the ocean and shoreline that have shaped childhood memories and continue to draw family back together.
Connection symbols and journey lines reflect Bernie, her husband and three children, movement between places and the bond shared through time spent by the sea.
The Bay is a reminder that some places stay with us for life, holding memory, family and belonging.
