This piece tells Rebecca’s story. A journey of learning, listening and growth, both professionally and personally.
Beginning on Port Augusta’s red Country, where her work and passion for Aboriginal education began through time spent with Aunties, Elders, students and community, traditional symbolism represents the knowledge shared and the impact it continues to have.
Meeting places represent those who guided and supported this journey, each one holding its own story.
One continuous journey line connects past to present, carrying that learning forward into ongoing work with First Nations students today.

I acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Custodians of the land we live and work on. I extend my respects to Elders, both past, present and emerging; and recognise the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
