Description

Medicine was created for Kerry and John, reflecting their love of family, home and the natural world.

The meeting places throughout the artwork represent family gathering together, with their children and grandchildren. The journey lines show the paths they have walked through life, the home they have cared for over many years and the memories created across generations.

The green centre represents Country, growth and the natural environment, while the warm ochres, earthy reds and deep tones reflect strength, grounding and connection to place. The medicine leaves symbolise care, kindness and healing, representing the values Kerry and John continue to pass down through their family.

This piece honours the love within their home, the importance of family connection and the knowledge and stories that will continue to be carried by their grandchildren and future generations.
