This piece remembers the way our people once travelled, guided by the stars and the shimmer of moonlight on the water. Silver dots and linework represent moonlight and those journeys across Country, when the world was cool and quiet.
Metallic blues symbolise shimmering saltwater, while the soft sandy tones represent the shore, a reminder of our connection between land and sea and how it guides us. This painting carries a story of reunion, of visiting loved ones, sharing stories and gathering on Country under the safety and stillness of the night sky.
