Ocean Blossoms celebrates a life woven between two worlds, honouring Indian heritage while embracing the beauty of Australia. Inspired by Shoma’s years in Cairns, this piece captures the calm and endless blues of the ocean and sky and a field of flowers symbolising growth, resilience and connection to nature.
The central pathways and meeting places reflect family and belonging, while delicate stars, painted in shimmering blue steel metallic, scatter across the piece to represent guidance, hope and the vastness of the journey. Greens, whites, silvers and deep blues are layered to evoke land, water and sky coming together in harmony.
This artwork is a reminder of home, heritage and the beauty found when cultures, landscapes and stories meet.
