This artwork tells the story of our connection to fire and its power to bring people together, a place to share food, warmth, stories and culture, by mesmerising flames.
Fire is also how Aboriginal people care for Country. Through controlled burning, fire protects the land from bushfires, encourages new growth and maintains balance. Symbols of family gathered around a campfire glow in copper and gold, while the colours of embers and smoke gently wind across the arid landscape.
