This piece is about returning to your homeland and the healing power of connecting with Country.
Flowing dots and golds represent connection between people and place, time spent away and the pull of coming back.
The leaves are bush medicine. Something I grew up gathering with my family at places like Koonibba, knowledge from a long time ago and a tradition we still carry on today.
The black and white circles are different spots where that medicine grows, different trees in the bush.
A glowing copper campfire where we smoke or boil and prepare the leaves represents warmth, stillness and togetherness.
