This artwork reflects growth, connection and the shared values of Rider Levett Bucknall telling a story of collaboration and people coming together. Circular dot work represents meeting places or campfires where ideas are shared, surrounded by “U” shapes representing people sitting together. A continuous shining journey line links each place, showing knowledge moving between communities and the strength of relationships.
The gatherings are linked from edge to edge to show the past, present and future of Rider Levett Bucknall’s over two centuries of heritage with a central gathering place representing the people of RLB today.
Symbols of seeds, fruits and medicine leaves represent healing and ongoing growth while rivers, waterholes and rock pools represent connection to Country, the flow of knowledge to future generations and the importance of care and sustainability of culture, people and place.
Colour is used to hold meaning, coppers for Country, blues for truth, greens for trust, ochres for togetherness and golds for tomorrow.
