This artwork tells a story of love, memory and connection to Country. It represents a man’s spiritual bond with his late nonno and the special place they shared, Yudnapinna Station, where red earth meets endless skies.
The central campfire and two U-shaped people symbols are where stories were shared by the fire and the bond between generations grew strong. The footprints leading outward show their many journeys together across the rugged land, camping, hiking and exploring nature side by side.
The warm reds, oranges and browns reflect the desert earth, while the greens bring life and renewal to the memory of this sacred place. White and silver tones capture the spiritual energy of a loved one now watching over from the Dreaming.
